Client Requirements
Arbor Education found us through Google and asked for our help with expanding their Leeds office. We were with the team when they sourced a potential new base which was an old school board building in the heart of Leeds city centre. From there, we worked with them to create modern offices that remained in keeping with the building's fantastic heritage.
Solution
The first thing we were asked to do was to survey the space to ensure that it would be suitable for their needs. We created a layout that would accommodate the required number of workstations and ensure that adequate power and data points would be available.
The furniture was designed to match the beams that run throughout the main space. We installed floor boxes for each bank of desks to ensure adequate power and data without unsightly cables running everywhere. We also fitted out two kitchen areas; one in a dark grey, to match the central colour theme, and the other in a lighter colour, to create balance.
One of our favourite things about this project is the building's rich history. This is where schoolchildren across Leeds were once sent to undertake exams, and you can still see the two main staircases, one for boys and one for girls. Throughout this project, we were mindful of the building's heritage and the significance of it to the client who works with schools across the UK.
The Arbor team were delighted with the outcome and couldn't wait to get settled into their new space.
